Kulhad Pizza Viral Video Incident Action Taken
The local police have now arrested a 23-year-old woman named Soniya in connection with the case.
According to ACP Nirmal Singh, the Jalandhar Pizza company filed a complaint at the local Police Station alleging that serious accusations were made against them online. Acting on the complaint, an FIR was registered under relevant sections of the IT Act and IPC. The arrested woman Soniya was reportedly terminated from her job at the pizza outlet on September 4th.
Reportedly, Soniya had claimed the viral video was fake. While initially a 59-second clip was circulated, three more videos of 35, 10, and 13 seconds surfaced after the company filed a complaint.
Per reports, Soniya will be produced before the court on Thursday. The police are likely to seek her remand for further investigation. They are also examining the authenticity of the videos by sending them for forensic analysis.
The saga of the viral couple video has now turned into a criminal case with legal consequences. The police probe will hopefully reveal more facts about the videos and their propagation online. More details are likely to emerge as the investigation progresses.
